The Sign of Life

The Sign of Life was the ankh, the ankh could only be carried by Gods, Goddesses, Kings and Queens. On the ankh, the pillar of the god Osiris, God of "Millons of Years" is holding branches and it had a dog-headed spectar. This was held by almost every god every second of their life. e.g.-Anubis, Osiris etc.

Who were Anubis's Elders?

Anubis's elders were Seth the god of chaos who killed Osiris, and also Nephitis. Once Seth was killed by Osiris's son Horus the god of the sky, now Nephitis is Anubis's only elder.

Why was Anubis an Important god?

Anubis was an important god in many kinds of ways. One way is people wanted to live on into the afterlife, Anubis had to make that happen. Without Anubis doing that all the people dying would not go on into the afterlife. Another way Anubis was important was that if he didn't create mummification it would smell horrible through out all Egypt.( Nasty I would not want to live there get diseases. No one would live there and the beautiful nile and fine soil would go to a waste.

Weighing Heart Ceremony

In the weighing heart ceremony they would weigh a persons heart against a feather.(Feathers are like the lightest thing i can think of.like stupid huh? because you'll probably lose... so its not even fair...) Anubis lead this ceremony. He would hold a heart in his hand, his bare hand. If the heart weighs less than the feather the person would be helped in afterlife and hasn't done bad things. If the heart weighed more than the feather the person would be guilty of sining while the were living and the devourer would eat it.(the devourer is a hippo, crocodile, and a lion.)

Basic Anubis Facts

Anubis was the jackel headed god of death and funeral, he guided the souls of the dead to the afterlife. Anubis could also be called the god of mummification.(he like wrapped dead people.) :/ nasty. i couldnt be next to a dead person i dont even know. Anubis even wrapped another god, Osiris the god of the underworld, his brother Seth the god of choas killed Osiris because he wanted to be king(not fair at all...) so Seth's wife and Osiris's wife are finding the pieces of Osiris and wrapped him up with Anubis to send him into the afterlife.(how is that possible..??)
